We're two weeks away from the deadline for applying 2014 Chicago Lean Startup Challenge. Last year, many teams got from idea to revenue in 8 weeks. If you've got an idea, a team, and want to build a successful startup, what are you waiting for? Apply now.
If you're accepted, here's what will happen:
- You start with a one day bootcamp on July 12th - a crash course in Lean Startup taught by Todd Wyder
- Every Tuesday evening you attend a class on critical elements of the business model, like how to get, keep and grow customers, minimum viable products, partnerships, revenue and cost models, and learn techniques for rapidly validating your hypotheses. You'll also share and get feedback on your progress on validating your hypotheses and building your business
- We push you hard: Successful teams are doing up to 20 problem and solution interviews a week, doing concierge MVPs and running sales experiments. It's not just us who will push you - when you see other teams moving fast, you'll be inspired and learn from each other
- You'll match with great mentors and participate in additional workshops, on subjects like legal for lean startup and attacking multisided markets.
- After 8 weeks, we'll pick 4 finalists, who will get 4 weeks of intensive mentoring, including pitch coaching from Techstars Chicago boss Troy Henikoff. That man knows how to coach.
- On October 18th we have a demo day, where the four finalists pitch and a panel of judges hand out cash and prizes.
