A few months back, our team was having a general discussion regarding the Chicago tech scene. During the course of the conversation, one thing that stuck out to me is how many different companies and people were mentioned and how many were unknown to me. The Chicago tech scene has exploded in the past couple years, and it has gotten difficult to keep up with everything going on and all of the awesome things people are doing around town.
We decided that we'd love a social news site dedicated to the Chicago tech scene. We're all Hacker News readers, but we wanted a dedicated place to help us keep up with the people and companies around town. To that end, we set up Second City Bits. We'd love if you all joined us to help source and vote on great content about technology and startups in Chicago!
