Promoting the Startup Community through Interviewing(.com)

Since launching Interviewing.com a mere 2 months ago (March 1st) we've been thrilled by the support we've received from our friends near and far.  But that support didn't come from thin air.  It came from the power of our networks and the power of interviewing, which we like to think of over on our site as a life skill, not just a job skill.

Yes, we said it, much of our support has come from interviewing.  Asking questions, answering questions, making introductions, being introduced, showing what we can do for others, asking what they can do for us--it's all really one big informal, informational interview to expand our network and our reach.

One of our most influential (and friendliest) networks to get us going has been the startup community here in Chicago, and like all good networkers, you see how you can give back to your network first.  Well, we want to say thanks for helping us already touch so many people who have also expressed their gratitude for the content we are providing.

But we want to go one step more.  The week of May 21st, we're going to provide an entire week of content on Interviewing.com focused towards the startup/entrepreneur/small business community here in Chicago.

We want to provide some great resources, tips, and experiences from the Chicago community, but we also want to give some of your startups a chance to shine!

Want a little free press that week?  Get in touch.  We'll be working with a handful of startups on a select few feature articles as well as taking submissions, but if you don't have time to write, we still want a way to include you, if possible.

Get in touch with me directly, or email me your name, title, startup, contact info, a short 1-2 line blurb on your startup, and give us a comment or two on an interviewing related topic, such as:

What qualities do you look for when interviewing candidates for your startup?

How is the work culture at your startup different or unique?

What's the best part about working for a startup?

Tell us about a unique or interesting part of your interview process?

What are the challenges you face in interviewing talent for your organization?

What's it like to interview yourself to see if you're ready for a startup?

Have a fun interviewing experience to share (or a traumatic one?) Share it!

Got another idea, let's talk!

The sky is the limit as long as it relates to the content of our site.  We'll select the best submissions to include in some of our articles that week and give you a heads up when we'll be promoting them on the site to our, not only national, but international audience. (Also if you're not camera shy and want to be featured in a short 30 second micro-interview segment, get in touch!)

Let your networks know, as well, and we'll all start some great buzz for the Chicago startup community.
