Hi all! I'm a front-end dev // UxD recently transplanted to the Chicago area (for more about me, feel free to head on over to my website). I attended my first Built in Chicago Launch event last night and had a blast hearing from so many passionate individuals/companies. I wanted to share a talk I gave to a design capstone course at Michigan State University that has been instrumental in explaining my design process to stakeholders, clients, etc. that may not be familiar with the same disciplines that I am. The video is a walkthrough of the sort of "scientific method" for data-driven design that I've used to define the UX aspect of my work, broken down into its simplest form to explain why a process like this can do wonders for ROI. I also spend quite a bit of time covering the distinction between art and design (for me). Let me know what you think!
