SeatSync: the Low-Cost Option for Selling Tickets

We are tired of the fees charged by StubHub, TicketMaster, TicketsNow, and the entire ticket industry. Chances are that you are, too. Exorbitant fees have been a gripe of fans for years, and it never seems to change. It doesn't take a genius to know that these fees are much higher than the value provided by these services.

But how bad is it? You might be surprised. Most of these companies double dip on each transaction, charging both buyers and sellers a hefty fee, usually totaling 20% or more of the value of each transaction.

This is where SeatSync comes in. We charge nothing to make a listing, and when you successfully sell your tickets, it costs $2 total. Buyers pay no fees, just the full ticket price to the seller, which makes them more likely to buy your tickets. No extra handling fees. No convenience fees. No made up fees. Compare that to StubHub, eBay’s brand and the dominant player in the secondary ticket market. On a MLB ticket transaction, StubHub charges a 15% commission from the seller, and charges an additional 10% fee to the buyer. And that's assuming you don't have to pay for shipping.

In the example below, let's assume you sell two MLB tickets at $50 each on StubHub for a total of $100. StubHub takes a commission of $15, and you receive $85. In addition, the buyer of your tickets pays $10 extra to StubHub. It looks like this:

Plain and simple, these fees are too damn high, and do not reflect the value provided by StubHub.

Don't pay too much. Use SeatSync. Summer 2012.
