Startup Bootcamp Day 2

Today's focus is sales, branding and marketing. 

 

Our current speaker is Michael B. Gardiner of Gardiner Seah LLP. The morning's upcoming sessions include Marketing 101 with Jed Taylor, assistant director of the Technology Entrepreneur Center (TEC) and entrepreneur in residence at EnterpriseWorks; Envision Sales and Marketing Sales/Product Cycle with William McHenry, founder and president of Envision Sales and Marketing; and Top Five Legal Mistakes Entrepreneurs Make with Gregory J. Lynch, attorney and chair of Transactional Practice Group and of Michael Best and Friedrich LLC, and with Marty Stern, partner for Michael Best and Friedrich LLC.

 

Afternoon sessions feature Virtual Tech Rep President Ken Welch's Sales-based Idea Valuation and UI Research Park Director Laura Frerichs' Incubating Startup Companies in the UI Research Park. Visionary team members Michelle Lenzen, Maurice Branch and Jon Pearce will host The Holistic Approach: Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Advertising and Marketing, a branding competition, from 2:30-3:30, followed by Social Computing Strategist Jeff Willinger's Social Media competition from 3:30-5. Our last speaker of the day is TEC Marketing Specialist Danyelle Michelini, who will give the bootcamp participants some last minute networking advice before we head to District Bar for our 2-hour networking event.
