We've graduated from 1871: here are the top 10 things we'll miss!

We were one of the first few companies to move in and we've finally outgrown our overstuffed our spot in 1871! It’s been amazing to see the changes from that first day when we sprinted to grab our table in the reserved space by the conference rooms. (Not the greatest move as it turned out since we could hear the details of every phone call and conversation in those rooms. We promise, we weren’t judging or listening or taking notes.)  In a short year we’ve pivoted a bit, focused on our growing Mrs. Judd’s Games educational apps business and launch the well received Juddly service the first to allow kids to simply share their digital creations from apps and games (check out the VIDEO). As we now expand our team to market the Juddly API to developers and companies looking for custom implementation it just wasn’t prudent to stick around sneaking extra employees in the reserved space and consuming far more than our share of Friday’s pizza and beer. So yesterday was our last day in the nest and we wanted to share the top 10 things we will miss about 1871:

  1. The access to experts in almost any field and the ability to actually get meetings with them
  2. The access to the Friday beer fridge that never seemed to be locked on a given Tuesday evening after a long day (bet it’ll be locked now … sorry!)
  3. Identifying everyone in the reserved space by their cell phone ringtone
  4. The constantly rearranged furniture by the desk that no matter how constrictive still will never force everyone to check in with their ID cards
  5. The innovation that is surrounding us at all times (some good, some bad)
  6. The constant stream of ironic t-shirts
  7. The abundance of ideas we all thought were terrible that are just killing it right now
  8. Trying to get foreign objects to “levitate” in the Dyson Airblades
  9. Free Galaga
  10. Almost being run over by someone texting while riding a scooter, because intelligentsia was 40 feet to far to walk to.

We will just be down the street and have no plans on being strangers at 1871, so we will see you all soon. Good luck to everyone!
