WHAT DO YOU DO?
I’m the Managing Director of Second Century Ventures—the Venture Capital arm of the National Association of Realtors. We primarily invest in [early stage technology] companies with applicability in multiple industries, including real estate, where we can roll up our sleeves and help the companies grow.
BEST ADVICE YOU EVER RECEIVED?
If you don’t get the answer you want, just keep asking people until someone tells you the one you want to hear.
YOUR BIGGEST CHALLENGE ON A DAILY BASIS?
Ending the day. There are always more great people to talk to, things to learn and new ideas to explore.
YOUR FAVORITE INDULGENCES?
Treating myself to nice hotels and eating very very well!
YOUR FIRST JOB?
In high school it was Great Steak and Fry (I used to trade food with the cute Orange Julius guy across the way).
YOUR ADVICE FOR YOUNGER WOMEN?
We’ve only begun transforming the world with technology–if you want to be part of the movement that changes the world, this is a great place to be.
YOUR FAVORITE TRAVEL DESTINATION?
It’s impossible to say just one—Tokyo, Positano, Santorini and Portugal are some favorites.
