Working for a One Month Old. (Startup that is.)

I can't believe we launched one month ago!  We now have 23 fantastic independent stores featured on the site.  We are looking to hire a part-time sales and customer service representative to reach out to more and offer better customer service to the stores we are currently working with.  Here's a little more information on the position:

Little Independent is a new Chicago based online marketplaces for sale items at independent retail stores.  The company tagline is: Unique stores. Great sales.

General Purpose

Increase the number of stores and shoppers utilizing Little Independent.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

• Visit a minimum of 15 independent stores per week to tell them about Little Independent and to deliver print materials.
• Follow-up store visits with e-mail, mail, social media and/or phone contact.
• Visit all current Little Independent stores a minimum of one time per month to assist them in creating listings and to check in and solicit feedback.
• Utilize the Little Independent Sales and Marketing Tracking Sheet or another system to manage contact and follow-up objectives.
• Manage time efficiently to meet weekly contact goals.
• Represent Little Independent knowledgeably and professionally.
• Be available for a weekly phone meeting with the founder of Little Independent.

Education, Experience and Other Requirements

• Secondary education in marketing or communication preferred
• Sales experience in an independently owned retail store preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage one’s own time effectively and to be organized
