Information Security Manager
The United Center, a premiere sports and entertainment facility and home of the Chicago Blackhawks and the Chicago Bulls, is looking for someone with a passion for sports and technology to fill a key role as the Information Security Manager.
General Responsibilities:
Assists senior leadership in the development of security policies, standards, and strategies. Performs or participates in security audits, identifies security gaps, and develops and implements risk mitigation solutions. Recommends modifications to application development, database design, network, or infrastructure architecture with the goal of complying with internal information security polices and standards.
Specific Duties:
- Establish plans and protocols to protect digital files and information systems against unauthorized access, modification and/or destruction.
- Maintain data and monitor security access.
- Perform vulnerability testing, risk analyses and security assessments.
- Conduct internal and external security audits.
- Anticipate security alerts, incidents and disasters and reduce their likelihood.
- Manage network, intrusion detection and prevention systems.
- Analyze security breaches to determine their root cause.
- Monitor for and investigate unusual network/account activity.
- Recommend and install appropriate tools and countermeasures.
- Define, implement, and maintain corporate security policies.
- Train staff in security awareness and procedures.
- Coordinate security plans with outside vendors.
- Provides weekly status reports, including outstanding issues.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Specific Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability:
- Language Skills - Ability to read, analyze and interpret the most complex documents.
- Math Skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, percentages and draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Computer Skills - The individual must have the aptitude to work with various computer programs to uncover and fix flaws in computer systems and networks.
- Reasoning Ability - Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred or combination of Associates Degree and appropriate experience.
Experience:
4+ years working with some of the following platforms and processes:
- Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (DS/IPS)
- Data Loss Prevention solutions
- Antivirus/Malware solutions
- Identity and Access Management Technologies (IAM)
- Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)
- Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems
- Network protocols and packet analysis tools
- Knowledge or Python or other scripting languages
- Cloud computing
Licenses or Certificates: (Any of the following a plus)
- ECSA: EC-Council Certified Security Analyst
- GSEC / GCIH / GCIA: GIAC Security Certifications
- CISSP: Certified Information Systems Security Professional
