Looking to make a change in your career? You've come to the right place. Every month, we comb through our jobs board to show you some of our favorite open jobs. From a software engineering position that'll let you show off your hardware chops to a media manager job for the company that defined performance marketing, here are five of the coolest jobs we found this month.

 

The job: Media Manager, Paid Search & Social

What they do: Performics helps companies deliver the right marketing content to the right consumers at the right time. 

Why it's cool: Founded in 1998, Performics helped define the marketing landscape we live in today. As a media manager, you'll help develop strategies, monitor work flows and financials, and report on campaign performance.

What you’ll need: You’ll need a bachelor’s degree and two to three years of experience in online marketing, direct marketing or e-commerce. You’ll also need some serious chops in social and search marketing and have the ability to work independently.

 

The job: Java Software Engineer (Fullstack)

The job: Senior Search Engine Marketing Specialist

Why it’s cool: The senior search engine marketing specialist will work with the account management and business analytics team to build and execute awesome digital media campaigns.

For the search engine marketing role, you’ll need two years of paid search management experience, strong analytical skills and a solid ability to communicate. Prior experience with B2B clients won't hurt either.

The job: Sr. Software Engineer — Hardware Qualification

Who you'll work for: IBM Cloud Object Storage works with companies to keep their data safe and accessible. Its public and hybrid cloud solutions give companies the flexibility to adapt as their storage needs change.

Why it’s cool: If you're interested in working with hardware, you won't find many better opportunities than this. It's also a great chance to join one of Chicago’s fastest-growing tech teams.

What you’ll need: A bachelor’s degree and at least four years of experience with Python and Bash. You’ll also need Linux experience and hardware chops, and experience with x86 server development.
