ChicagoNEXT has announced ten more companies that will be showcased at its Chicago Venture Summit this October. Designed with venture investors in mind, the Summit aspires to show the best venture-backed technology companies in the Midwest.

- The local edtech startup eSpark Learning helps schools individualize blended learning using iPads.
- LISNR is a Cincinnati audio startup offering mobile audio technology to content creators and advertisers.
- Opternative offers refractive eye exams online with backing from a number of heavy-hitting Chicago VCs.
- ParkWhiz is a startup tackling the ever-difficult issue of finding and paying for parking spaces in Chicago.
- Pervasive Health is the startup behind Apervita, a self-service platform for healthcare writers.
- SIM Partners is noted for Velocity, a SaaS local marketing platform for enterprise brands, and for Velocity Social, a Velocity extension for social CRM.
- Snapsheet is a simplified claims platform for the auto insurance industry and its customers.
- SpotHero is another player in the parking-space game, offering discounts and reservations in several major cities.
- viaForensics offers mobile-device security solutions from its base in suburban Oak Park.
- YCharts is a Chicago firm that helps users collect and interpret financial data.
The Chicago Venture Summit event, in which startups showcase their know-how and can-do for venture capitalists and other business leaders, will take place on October 14th and 15th at Venue SIX10 on Michigan Avenue. The selection process remains ongoing through the coming weeks.
