Illinois IT Jobs on the Rise [Infographic]

Earlier this week, we learned about how Chicago’s tech scene has changed since the 1970s. Today, we’re bringing you a different look at our ecosystem: the IT job market.

With signs of economic recovery sprouting up from place to place, it is encouraging to see where Illinois stacks up against the rest of the country. Notably, it’s not only demand for developers that’s growing—companies want database administrators and support specialists too.

That said, young Midwesterners are still hesitant about entering IT jobs, but those who are find video game design, web design, app design and using technology to help others very attractive.
