Want just one place to go to find out what’s happening at the places you like to be? There’s an app for that.

WotNow is a social platform, like Facebook or Twitter. Users download, search and track their favorite organizations and all their events land in the WotNow app in a calendar form.

Users select from a directory of organizations in order to automatically receive events.

Events from other mobile apps that can also be integrated include Facebook events, Google Calendar and your phone calendar.

Some of the organizations that are currently using WotNow include park districts in Naperville, Joliet, Oswego, Channahon, Plainfield and Bolingbrook. The Plainfield and Naperville libraries also have their events listed.

“We are growing rapidly across Chicagoland signing up organizations to publish through WotNow. Downloads of (the) app (are) rapidly increasing every day just (by) word of mouth,” said app creator Deepa Salem in an email.

You can download the app now for Apple or Android.
