When Doug Charron and Dave Adams first created SafeCharge 2 years ago, they knew there would be many challenges. But they were ultimately creating a product that people loved. They now have the statistics to prove it. After this past weekend, their secure cell phone charging stations have charged over 20,000 phones at their 75 locations. This scrappy Chicago duo is quickly creating one of the most sustainable new technology companies.

With the bulk of their business taking place in the nightlife space, SafeCharge is dedicated to bringing this highly demanded product to as many locations as possible. But they are also looking to expand into other verticals as well. They recently partnered with Ford Field, to provide 10 SafeCharge stations in and around the home of the Detroit Lions. They plan on using this momentum to enter other sports venues as well.

They recently rolled out a new rental program, where they partner with organizations such as TechWeek, to provide large scale events access to secure, customizable cell phone charging lockers. These conferences and events are filled with thousands of attendees, sponsors and exhibitors who all share one common issue, a dying cell phone. By providing users access to safe power, they ensure attendees are connected, and ultimately happy.
The mobile industry is growing rapidly, and SafeCharge is in a great position to ride that wave for a long time.
