¡Viva La Revolucion!

Is PowerPoint the wave of the future? Seriously. What do you think? It's been around for 23 years now. And, despite all of its shortcomings, it's still the defacto presentation / communication tool for organizations everywhere. Case in point: it has a 95% share of the presentation market.

Well, we at Sheffield Marketing Partners are starting a revolution. A revolution that's calling an end to lengthy, boring decks and jargon-filled presentations. We're demanding a new world. A place where complex and technical information is simplified. A place where presentations are short, dynamic and compelling. A place where we actually want to listen and share seemingly-difficult messages and ideas.

Didn't this revolution already happen? Um, not really. While there's an obvious need for orgs to stop relying so heavily on dense, boring PowerPoint decks, the business world is struggling to change. After all, it's incredibly difficult to simplify complexity. This was recently reinforced in the WSJ (Link: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424127887324000704578386652879032748.html#articleTabs%3Darticle).

But, this is starting to change. Already there are new presentation platforms that are challenging PowerPoint, like Prezi and our own Whiteboard Narrative (TM) product offering.

To help catapult this revolution, we've created a microsite around the Whiteboard Narrative offering. Here it is: http://whiteboardnarrative.com. And, we are distributing our own press release around the need for more condensed visual presentation formats. Check it out: http://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20130423005433/en.

What do you think? Are you part of the revolution?
