What Are Starter School Graduates Up To?
It's been 10 weeks since the inaugural class of Starter School graduated. They've made exceptional progress towards their goals to build products and pursue more meaningful work. Some have jobs, some have moved forward with their apps, and all of them are confident about their next steps. Here's an update on their post Starter School progress.

Katie came to Starter School with a degree in musical theater and a passion for solving problems. During the program, she built a better way for theater companies to handle the casting process. Now she's a full time web developer for Chicago based development shop LaunchPad Lab!

Chance worked at Proficient Learning, where he made training programs for pharmaceutical companies. Tired of making PowerPoint presentations, he came to Starter School where he built FamilyRoom. Recently, Chance became the third member of North Carolina based dev shop Fugitive Labs.

Harsha went from college dropout to building HelpTrain.me, a product allowing trainers to more effectively track client data. He is in the process of selling his product outright to a local Chicago fitness chain. Harsha is now working for The Starter League.

John worked as a business development rep at Coyote Logistics before Starter School. During the program he built FamilyRoom with Chance. He's now working full-time as a product designer at NextPoint, tasked with redesigning their app's interface.

Before Starter School, Pete was a Venue Relations Manager at GoldStar. In pursuit of more meaningful work, he came to Starter School where he built TicketySplit. He's now a development and design apprentice at SeatGeek in New York, NY.

College dropout to co-founder of HelpTrain.me, Jack is currently working on his life long dream of making chess more accessible to people who want to learn the game. In addition to building ChessExplained, Jack is helping teach TSL's summer web dev class.

Erinn quit her job at GoHealth to attend Starter School. Now she's the founder & CEO of Make Her Smile, a service to help people give thoughtful gifts to their loved ones.

Garrett had recently dropped out of college when his dad recommended Starter School. As soon as Garrett finished our program, he had a number of freelance projects lined up. This week he accepted a full time development position with Chicago based startup Hard Hat Hub. Read about Garrett's journey to becoming a web developer on his blog.

Before Starter School, Abdulla was an oil pipeline supply coordinator in the Middle East. Itching to expand on his passion to design powerful experiences for people, Abdulla came to Starter School. He now works as a UX designer at Public Good Software.

Jon had just graduated law school in Buffalo, NY when he decided to join Starter School. With his undying love for all things Bitcoin, Jon wanted a way to break into the web development space. He spent his time at Starter School creating web applications that made using cryptocurrency simpler. He recently accepted a position with Coinbase, and will be working for them full time.

Before Starter School, Parag was making a living writing on his blog, FrequentFlyerUniversity. Starter School helped Parag channel his passion for making travel easier through technology. His startup Tripsy allows users to plan group travel simply and efficiently.

We're blown away with the success our graduates have had since finishing Starter School. They came from all over the world to Chicago to change their lives, and in less than a year they have done that.
