POSITION SUMMARY

bswift is a Chicago-based technology company that provides industry-leading benefits administration for employers and exchanges nationwide. We are currently looking for Accounting Manager to join our team.

The position oversees all accounting functions within bswift (a wholly owned subsidiary of Aetna). The role demands a detail oriented candidate with accounting leadership experience and the ability to establish efficient processes and discipline within a growth oriented, Technology Company.

Fundamental Components:
Oversight of Accounting team
Support all entity level accounting including monthly close, reconciliations and actuals reporting
Drive standardization, efficiencies and controls across the Company
Lead annual audit process
Interface with Aetna controllers group to leverage best practices, standardize work
Proactively identify, research and develop solutions to improve business results or processes
Be creative problem solver within fast growing environment and have ability to adapt to change

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:
5+ years of relevant accounting/financial experience, including project management and supervisory experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
CPA certification strongly preferred
Proven knowledge of GAAP standards (including software capitalization) 
Strong analytical, technical and problem solving skills
Experience in a fast pace, deadline driven environment

EDUCATION
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
