Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain high-performance, scalable systems and tools to support kCura’s Agile development teams
  • Develop and deliver desktop engineering platforms that ensure new onboarders, experienced kCura engineers and managers are able to view, contribute, review, and run kCura source
  • Work closely with other engineers within your group and across the engineering organizations
  • Develop solutions to complex problems relating to engineering systems
  • Identify and drive opportunities to improve automation for the company; scope and create automation for deployment, management, and visibility of our services
  • Participate in code reviews for projects written by your team
  • Participate in design reviews for new and existing services and platforms
  • Influence the use of industry leading development platforms and process at kCura
Qualifications
  • Experience with infrastructure and distributed systems
  • Code using Python, C#, Go
  • Experience with software engineering best practices: unit testing, code reviews, design documentation, excellent debugging, troubleshooting skills
  • Experience administering Git (BitBucket preferred)
  • Experience in Windows Server administration
  • Experience in PowerShell and other scripting languages
  • Experience with Visual Studio
  • Excellent communication & enthusiasm
  • Experience working on an Agile development team
  • Experience coaching team members
  • Experience reviewing code
  • Bachelors in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar technical degree, or work experience
  • 1+ years of software development of commercial-grade systems and applications
  • Experience coaching team members (ex: reviewing code, design sessions) is a plus

 

You may also be required to handle 2nd level technical support calls after hours about 1 week per month depending on the size of your team.  If Client Services is working on a ticket and they are not able to solve an urgent issue, they will reach out to the developer on-call to assist with resolving the issue.
