The Application Engineer’s role will act as an escalation point for Platform and API related questions from the Client Services and Solutions teams.  The Application Engineer will be responsible for putting processes in place to improve: developer documentation and sample code, engaging, monitoring, and answering public Developer Forum threads.  In addition to addressing Platform related questions, the Application Engineer will have expertise in the Relativity Platform vertical as well as proficient experience building and debugging ASP.NET applications.

Responsibilities

  • Develop sample code, proof of concept solutions and diagnostic tools for clients
  • Diagnose and debug applications in production-grade environments
  • Support BAs to help answer technical questions
  • Interface with Product Development, Education and Documentation teams to provide feedback about the Platform and identify areas for improvement
  • Manage and help develop the Relativity Community by answering questions through the portal and assisting with content
  • Propose solution architectures to clients
  • Educate and mentor members of Client Services on how to better diagnose and debug Platform related issues
  • Follow appropriate policies and procedures for creating, scrubbing, updating, escalating and closing of tickets. Attention to proper detail when coding and documenting tickets is essential for accurate reporting and maintaining historical ticket data
  • Proactively monitors assigned open tickets and contacts customers and updates tickets, all on a timely basis
  • Provide responsive support to clients during normal business hours, and as identified for on-call or as requested by management
  • Complete all daily tasks and projects as requested, on-time, and with attention to detail and quality
  • Accurately track time on a daily basis 

Knowledge Skills and Abilities: 

  • Expertise in the Relativity Platform vertical, APIs, and extensibility points
  • Experience troubleshooting complex application issues
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3-5+ years of experience building and debugging production-grade applications in .NET/C#, ASP.NET and SQL Server
  • Experience using and building applications on WCF and\or REST
  • Familiarity with recent versions of Windows Server, IIS, SQL Server, Windows Services
  • Bachelor degree in technology related field or equivalent experience
  • Enthusiasm for technology systems and support
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Critical thinking and problem solving abilities
