Pomet is looking for an Art Director who is highly imaginative and innovative, a driven team player and leader who will take the leadership Art Director role with our Drupal development firm. Our clients include many Higher Education clients, high volume eCommerce applications as well as startups. As a leading technology provider of web services, we focus on complex web development, Open Source CMS support and iOS mobile applications. We are dedicated to open source software solutions by providing managed services for Drupal-based websites, products, and applications.
As An Art Director, You Will
- Be a Visionary: Use your ingenuity, passion, and eye for design to conceptualize and produce modern, sophisticated, and attention grabbing design for prototypes, including graphic design, site navigation, and layout of content, for Clients websites and apps. Ensure that the layout of the content is accessible and logical; recommend improvements as necessary.
- Be a Leader: Provide creative guidance and leadership to staff to ensure work is accurate and completed according to deadline. Create visual concepts that match Client’s image; ensure that content is easy to navigate.
- Be a Brand Builder: Cultivate Promet’s identity and raise awareness through relationship stewardship with internal and external clients. Build web-based applications and web sites using technologies that conform to Promet’s standards.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the process of ideation, concept design and execution across disciplines.
- Be comfortable identifying Personas, User workflows, Workflows
- Direct the creation of strategic brand campaigns, programs and systems that meet client’s business, marketing and communications objectives.
- Guide creative efforts so that the client team’s capabilities, tools and processes support the strategic goals
- Translate client goals and information into strategic brand concepts, voices and approaches.
- Develop cohesive and persuasive rationales for creative strategy and lead client presentations.
- Ensure, in partnership with the Account lead, that the creative team operates in a timely, efficient and profitable manner.
- Participate in the development of new business across all areas of the client’s business, representing our creative capabilities and design leadership.
- Set the standard for creative team attitude, behavior, collaboration and workflow.
- Drive constant improvement of PrometSources creative quality and capabilities, including the adoption and integration of new technology, media and communication methods for client to strengthen relationships with target audiences.
What We’ll Value:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Art/Graphic Design, Digital Advertising
- 5+ years experience in Art/Creative Direction, preferably in a web development or digital advertising environment
- Some knowledge of HTML, DHTML, XHTML, CSS standards
- Advanced knowledge of the facets of Adobe CS: Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat)
- Experience with online digital media including HD video and digital compression technologies
- Experience with modern CMS, particularly Drupal
- Knowledge and demonstrated experience with cross-browser and cross-platform issues (IE, Firefox, Safari, etc.)
- Think outside the box while respecting the fundamental rules of design and when it’s ok to break those rules
- Ability to drive brand engagement and awesome positive attitude!
- A strong work ethic and desire to work in a fast-paced, fun, demanding environment
- Understands the basics of web accessibility standards
- Knows how to apply accessibility web standards into their job role
- Having experience or certification(s) in web accessibility is a big plus
