Associate Creative Director - Copywriting
The Associate Creative Director (Copywriter) in conjunction with the Creative Director, must generate creative ideas to solve the our brand’s ever evolving challenges. Above and beyond the conceptual, the ACD is responsible for the written aspects (scripts, headlines, and body copy) across multiple channels as well as the development of the copywriter team. The ACD, Copywriter is also responsible for limited managerial responsibilities on day to day business. This person must be a strong communicator, passionate about storytelling, committed to teamwork, and loves food.
Some Challenges You’ll Tackle- Knowledge and understanding of cross channel marketing
- Help with the development of the Copywriting team and report progress to Creative Director.
- Determine resources as needed and ensure they are allocated appropriately in order to meet deadlines
- Maintains a status on all on-going projects and makes sure all deliverables are met in a timely manner
- Provides brand leadership in guiding creative team and stakeholders in developing strategic creative solutions
- Translates concepts into finished copy for digital, print, and content, from conception to completion
- Interprets creative briefs and stakeholder feedback
- Strong presenter of ideas both spoken and written
- Participates and contributes to creative briefings and creative concept presentations to the Creative Director
- Works closely with cross functional teams, monitoring all copy materials through all stages of pre-production, production and post-production
- Understands and handles digital, print, and content production from conceptual phase to completion, ensuring thorough, complete, detailed and accurate information and communication is shared between directors, photographers, editors, set designers, illustrators, freelancers, etc., for both print and content production
- Selects and helps evaluate director’s reels and photographers books
- Provides direction to photographers, designers, directors, editors, and other vendors as they relate to the creative output
- BA in Advertising, Liberal Arts or Marketing (4 year) degree is required. Concentration in creative writing or English is preferred.
- 6-10+ years of experience (in an agency setting or related e-commerce experience)
- Strong storytelling and time management skills
- Ability to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines
- Strong presentation skills - a requirement for creative presentations
- Keen attention to detail
- Must be able to work under pressure and in a fast paced environment
- Must be comfortable using a MAC, be proficient in and possess a thorough knowledge of the following software application: Google Docs, Word Suite including PowerPoint. Adobe Suite a plus.
