swift, an Aetna portfolio company, is a Chicago-based technology company that provides industry-leading benefits administration for employers and exchanges nationwide. We are currently looking for an Associate Product Manager to join our team in our Chicago, IL location.

 

Position Summary: The Associate Product Manager will be paired with a Product Manager on the data exchange team and will be mentored in the product areas owned by the Product Manager. The Associate Product Manager will support the Product Manager in a variety of tasks related to product design, quality testing, troubleshooting, training and communications. In this role the Associate Product Manager will gain expertise in one or more product areas and build a foundation of product management knowledge.

 

Fundamental Components:

· Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Perform quality testing of the product prior to new product releases.

· Troubleshoot product issues escalated from the Ongoing Products Team.

· Serve as a Subject Matter Expert within bswift for the assigned product areas.

· Liaise with other business groups including Client Services, Sales, Marketing and Software Development to define product requirements.

· Assist with the creation of product functional specifications that clearly communicate detailed functionality and architecture.

· Assist with the creation of wireframes that clearly convey product features and functionality to a web designer and contribute

to the web/graphics design effort.

· Communicate product requirements to developers and assist with the management of the development process.

· Work closely with the Documentation team to define product functionality for bswift release documents and help documentation.

 

Background/Experience:

· 2+ years experience in software product management.

· Familiarity with data exchange and APIs; familiarity with bswift platform a plus.

· Critical, analytical thinker with proven ability to solve problems creatively and identify solutions to complex requests; excellent teamwork skills.

· Ability to work within tight deadlines and juggle multiple priorities.

Education:

· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
