We are looking for a SDET who has a penchant for testing. You’ll play a key part of the Groupon Global engineering team. That means you’ll be responsible for the architecture, design, implementation and test of our products with the rest of the engineering team that spans multiple disciplines just like everyone else.. Bring your testing expertise to the game and you’ll get the opportunity to work with our engineers on the latest tools and technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for design and execution of automated and manual tests in a fast-paced agile environment.
  • Architect and implement test automation infrastructures that will be utilized across multiple test and development teams.
  • Be the voice of quality in highly collaborative agile product teams.
  • Research emerging test tools, trends and methodologies and enhance existing systems and processes.
  • Continually refine your tests because you’re never satisfied that you’ve covered enough!

Requirements:

    • BE, or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
    • Excellent coding skills in one or more Object Oriented programming languages: C++, Java
    • Familiarity with one or more dynamic languages like Ruby, Python, Groovy.
    • Hands-on experience with one or more relational databases is preferred. Experience with NoSQL databases is a plus!
    • Hands-on experience with working on X-unit family of frameworks such as JUnit, Dbunit, TestNg, et al.
    • Proficiency in writing WebDriver/Selenium2.0 based UI automation tests.
    • Proven track record of Test planning and Test metrics generation for large-scale web applications and services.
    • Experience with one of the build/project management tools such as Ant, Ivy, Maven, Gradle.
    • Hands-on experience in setting up continuous integration (CI) build environments using Jenkins/Hudson, TeamCity.
    • Excellent understanding of Agile Testing Quadrants.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Passion for testing!
