The Role: In a Nutshell

We are looking for a BI Engineer with a proven ability to understand customer requirements and design/implement accordingly. You will join an energetic crew and will come to work feeling energized about the challenges and rewards ahead. You will be a key contributor to a business growing exponentially.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support business leaders with visualization needs for presentations, PR, partner, dealer or customer communications. Drive the execution of automated visual reporting based on stakeholder needs and company priorities.
  • Develop automated reports, visualization and dashboards built on solutions including: ggplot, Shiny, Tableau
  • Work with end users to define visual reporting needs for intended audiences and delivery formats
  • Perform ad hoc analytical requests and report prototyping for internal and external parties
  • Proactively take on projects with minimal supervision
  • Maintains broad knowledge of current and emerging technologies, trends, issues, techniques and approaches in area of expertise
  • Build rich and dynamic dashboards using out-of-box features, customizations, and visualizations
  • Automate solutions, where appropriate

What you need

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in related Information Technology or Computer Science fields
  • 2+ years of business/data analytics work experience
  • Strong knowledge of R programming
  • Strong analytical skills and writing skills, to include solid experience in writing functional and technical specifications
  • Strong analytical ability (troubleshooting data discrepancies and errors)
  • Attention to detail
  • Team-oriented, ability to build relationships effectively
  • Skills in building custom reports and dashboards with BI tools (ie: Shiny)
  • Ability to analyze data to identify deliverables, gaps and inconsistencies
  • Communication skills in identifying and communicating data driven insights
  • Ability to write SQL statements
  • Experience with Python or JavaScript
