Brand Marketing Intern
About The Opportunity
The Brand Marketing Intern will support the brand marketing team, and will work on a variety of projects across Grubhub and Seamless brands. This role will report to the Sr. Brand Manager, and partner with cross-functional marketing teams (creative, social CRM, acquisition, PR and partnerships). In addition to team support, the brand marketing intern will be given one key brand project to execute over the course of the internship and present to the broader marketing group at the end of the summer.
Some Challenges You’ll Tackle
- Content management: Assist in brand marketing campaign project management and execution across paid and owned digital channels.
- Competitive analysis: Create competitive analysis reports tracking marketing initiatives from key competitors.
- Social media support: community management assistance, sourcing of assets from the media API and influencer platforms, pulling examples of tweets, posts, etc via listening tool to round out reports, local restaurant research (what's most popular, trending, etc in key markets).
- Budget support: Train on budget management and assist associate brand managers with updates.
- Administrative support: scheduling meetings, building presentations, meeting notes, research projects, project management platform maintenance, collateral inventory etc.
- Coursework emphasis in marketing and communications strongly preferred. Must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate student in a college or university.
- School projects, internships or work in the area of marketing or business administration preferred.
- Understanding and affinity for food.
- Strong experience and knowledge of social networks including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Snapchat, etc.
- Must have good oral and written communication skills.
- Must have the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
- Must have the ability to pay close attention to detail.
- Must have the ability to work well under time constraints.
