About Charlie

The Team

The 6 person Charlie team, founded in 2012, is led by Aaron Frazin (Founder and CEO) and Rob Volk (CTO). Charlie is an alumni of 1871, and most recently raised $1.75m from some of Chicago’s most prominent investors including Lightbank and Hyde Park Venture Partners.

The Internship Program

We’ve just raised $1.75m in funding so you’re going to be part of the early team (under 10 people!) at one of the fastest growing startups in Chicago. Ever wanted to see what working at a startup is really like? Here’s your chance. Our interns work in a variety of settings and on a range of projects with other interns as well as the Charlie executive team. The internship program includes mentorship, team events, access to workshops, and leading exploratory projects.

Responsibilities

• Manages Charlie’s social media accounts and growth campaigns

• Assists with copywriting and messaging

• Is responsible for finding, applying, and increasing Charlie’s exposure in contests, awards, tech events, etc.

• Assists in planning Charlie’s participation in sales conferences, tech events, etc.

• Identify speaking opportunities and meetups for the CEO and CTO

Requirements:

• At least 20 hours per week (preferably full time)

• At least a Junior in standing

• A passion for entrepreneurship, tech startups, and/or marketing and communications

• Proficient with design software and writing copy
