We are currently seeking a hard-working, dedicated Communications Specialist to join our innovative and passionate team.
Responsibilities:
- Write and edit press releases, pitches and fact sheets.
- Monitor industry news and proactively identify opportunities to increase visibility for GR and company leaders.
- Staff professional media events and interact with journalists in person, on the phone and via written communications.
- Create internal communication materials, including company-wide emails and employee Intranet content.
- Ghostwrite comments for executives and media train loan originators.
- Manage and identify new opportunities for Guaranteed Rate's corporate awards.
- Research and gather information to create valuable, original content such as byline articles, press releases, blog posts, and infographics.
- Manage content for recruiting sites such as Built in Chicago and ITA.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of journalistic principles.
- Knowledge of AP style.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Experience drafting press releases and other PR materials.
- Superior attention to detail.
