Content Analyst (Copywriter)
Overview:
The Analyst (technical, copy, outreach) is responsible for providing deliverables, reports, copy and/or design work. Reporting to a Director, the Analyst assists the Activation Team in developing strategies for clients, compiles reports, analyzes data and writes POV’s and other client deliverables.
Role Objectives:
Technical
• Assists in development of strategies for various clients as needed
• Assists in developing targeting strategies
• Conducts advanced searches and analyzes data to identify target sites according to determined strategies
• Works with Activation Team to understand specific needs and proposed solutions
• Completes reporting and provides client insights
• Understanding of discipline and how it fits into larger Performance Content Team
• Learns the skillset to be successful in specific discipline
Copy
• Assists in development of content strategies for various clients as needed
• Provides consistently coherent and engaging on- and off-site copy
• Supports Performance Media with competitive Paid Ad copy as needed
• Conducts advanced searches and analyzes data to identify content and keyword ideas according to determined strategies
• Works with Activation Team to understand specific needs and proposed solutions
• Understanding of discipline and how it fits into larger Performance Content Team
• Learns the skillset to be successful in specific discipline
Outreach
• Assists in developing outreach strategies that will yield relevant external links to client sites
• Conducts advanced searches and analyzes other SEO data to identify target sites according to determined strategies
• Researches contact information for target site’s content manager, and conducts relationship building outreach
• Contributes to and helps execute targeted blogger outreach collaborations
• Works to maintain high productivity level and success rate
• Contributes to the continual improvement of and innovation within the link building practice
• Assists in ad hoc reporting and analysis
• Highly organized and capable of tracking multiple communications and follows-up in a timely fashion
• Excellent communication skills, the ability to create a genuine connection through email
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree, concentration in appropriate discipline, SEO experience a plus, web design skills and interest a plus
• 1-2 years’ experience with significant writing, research and/or online media components
• Strong analytical and implementation skills
• Ability to craft persuasive, goal-oriented written communications
• Strong online research skills including advanced use of search engines
• High competency level in MS Office products including Excel and Word
• Must be able to work collaboratively and effectively with all levels of staff including senior management
• BA in appropriate discipline
