Job Description

The Content Marketing Intern will contribute to multiple facets of the Yakkety Yak team. Working alongside the content, social media, graphic design and SEO teams, this individual will have the chance to learn multiple areas of content and inbound marketing. Based in Chicago’s West Loop, we are offering the right candidate the chance to work in a dynamic business, in an exciting industry that is constantly evolving. With writing and communication as the main objective, you will be immersed in the ins and outs of content marketing, social media, digital communications and inbound lead generation.

Responsibilities

• Play an active role in the execution and development of high-quality, journalistic content for customers looking to enhance their communication strategy

• Contribute to social media marketing campaigns

• Work with platforms including MailChimp, HubSpot, Word Press and beyond

• Write copy for engaging social media content across multiple brands

• Work alongside graphics team to develop engaging visual elements for social media, blog content, newsletters and marketing materials

• Schedule social media content and monitor brand engagement

• Learn to analyze brand performance

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing or communication

• Outstanding command of the English language. Storytellers encouraged.

• Creativity is a must, but taking deadlines seriously is essential, so you have to be able to work under pressure

• Knowledge of various social media platforms

• Willingness to learn new things while able to take direction

• HubSpot Inbound certification required (can be completed anytime prior to start date)
