 Marketing, Content Marketing Manager:

As the Content Development Manager you will be responsible for bringing the marketing strategy to life by imagining, writing, sourcing and publishing company and industry relevant content and distributing it across various mediums. This position will require you to extract the expertise that’s sitting inside colleagues’ minds and desktops, recreating it into various content types and ensuring that it is distributed far and wide.

 

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in the writing, editing, proofreading, and fact-checking content for print and digital. These pieces will be made for and used by Marketing and Sales, including e-communications, brochures, video scripts, and other content that showcase Fieldglass as the Vendor Management System thought leader and influence peer-to-peer discussions within the contingent workforce industry. This position reports to the Sr. Manager, Solution Marketing.

Responsibilities include:

  • Work with senior Marketing team, sales, account managers and other key executives to create high-impact content in support of lead generation, brand awareness and overall marketing team goals.
  • Write, edit, produce and curate content to support Fieldglass’ integrated marketing strategy across the globe.  
  • Have the ability to work with third party vendors and project-manage to ensure delivery. 
  • Work with sales and marketing colleagues to keep up to date on buyer personas and align buyer needs across the customer lifecycle.
  • Create and manage marketing and sales collateral (print and digital) tailored to customer segments and personas.
  • Use your strategic thinking skills to establish content themes, and develop and maintain an editorial calendar that maps out content development plans in conjunction with marketing goals and integrated campaigns.
  • Conduct a content audit to determine what can be reused/reimagined.
  • Develop (or source) written and visual content that will resonate with prospects and customers.
  • Coordinate with internal and external copyrighters and designers to help create new and compelling content that complies with brand standards.
  • Leverage the latest best practices for content consumption in new formats and work with marketing peers to drive the distribution of the content
  • Act as coach to other content support peers and provide feedback to improve quality of work over time
  • Build upon our customer testimonials videos and bring innovative ideas to leverage this content
  • Implement metrics to ensure content marketing efforts are helping the company achieve its goals (including lead generation/nurturing, brand recognition, community engagement) and refine as needed. Must have a familiarity/interest in measurement and ROI data.
  • Proactively communicate when tackling tasks and motivated to learn about Fieldglass’ industry.
We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in writing, marketing, communications, or a related area.
  • 5-7 years of experience in marketing, publishing, communications or related fields.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills; excellent proofreading skills.
  • Exceptionally organized and detail oriented.
  • Flexible, positive and a self-starter with ongoing enthusiastic interest to learn new skills.
  • Ability to be accountable, meet deadlines, multi-task and work under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, especially when dealing with vendors, customers, senior executives, sales teams and business partners.
  • Experience working on or with a marketing team and familiarity with aspects of a campaign process and sales funnel
  • Good knowledge of B2B marketing (SaaS experience a plus)
  • Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook. Understanding of Adobe Create Suite and HTML a plus, but not required.
  • Basic understanding of SEO and how best to optimize digital content.
  • Experience with Google Analytics and working within a Content Management System (CMS) a plus but not required.
  • Writing samples and tests will be required as part of the hiring process.
