Job Description

Rightpoint is seeking a Contracts Manager who is a responsible for leading contract review and negotiations for our award-winning digital agency and technology consulting organization. The Contract Specialist/Manager’s key areas of responsibility involve ensuring the seamless operation of the contract review and negotiation process and related legal compliance. If you are detail oriented and love the nuances of legal documents, this is the role for you! Within our growing company, you’ll have an opportunity to play a crucial role on our Delivery Excellence Team. Our ideal candidate will lead the contract process with a keen attention to detail for business terms, pricing, legal protections, and related terms. 

The individual will be responsible for collaborating with Rightpoint’s Leadership, Revenue and Account Teams, and Internal Operations Group to review and negotiate all of Rightpoint’s contracts. Our ideal candidate will have experience in the professional services industry (Technology Consulting or Digital Agency experience would be a plus!) and have drafted, reviewed and negotiated Master Service Agreements (MSAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), Change Orders, Subcontractor Agreements, Purchase Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements, (NDAs), and other contracts that arise in day-to-day business. You will collaborate with outside legal counsel as needed to ensure we maintain a high level of legal compliance and protection.

Sample Responsibilities

  • Prepare, negotiate, and review complex business contracts/agreements for Leadership as well as Account, Revenue, and Operations Teams
  • Lead and advise on contract negotiations of business terms, pricing, and other important terms
  • Serve as the point of contact for customers and vendors on contractual matters. Act as contract liaison between Rightpoint stakeholders and customers/vendors, ensuring timely review and response to create Win-Win Situations
  • Provide redlined recommendations on all standard and nonstandard contracts, negotiate directly with customer attorneys or purchasing staff if required until consensus has been reached
  • Provide oversight in risk management for all legal agreements  
  • Engages outside legal counsel, as needed, to ensure contract agreement compliance with appropriate laws and regulations
  • Assist with other areas of the Delivery Excellence function, including various process improvement initiatives as needed

Required Education

Bachelor of Science in Business, Legal or related field

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Must have 7+ years’ of contracts management, paralegal, or other comparable/related experience within a law firm or legal department
  • Extensive experience in contract review, drafting and negotiating to include business, price, and legal terms of a wide range of business contracts including Master Service Agreements (MSAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), Change Orders, Subcontractor Agreements, Purchase Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements, (NDAs), or any other contracts that come up in our day-to-day business
  • Experience in Information Technology, Digital Agency, or other similar professional services organization is strongly preferred
  • In-house legal experience or law degree is a plus
  • Ability to translate complex legal terminology to other management and delivery personnel as needed
  • Fantastic customer-facing skills, with a focus on WOWing our clients and people at every turn
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Proactive problem solver
  • Detail oriented working style
  • Superior organization and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to prioritize workload and know when to ask help from other operations team members as needed
