bswift is currently seeking an experienced Data Warehouse Architect for a full time position at our headquarters in Chicago, IL. 

Description:

The Data Warehouse Architect will contribute to the design and implementation of bswift’s new enterprise reporting system. In this role, the individual will be responsible for defining the architecture to ensure that bswift’s reporting functionality is flexible with fast performance. This will involve a close working relationship with bswift’s Reporting Product Manager and Database Administrator.  Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Develop logical and physical data models based on current and expected future reporting needs.
• Design and implement ETL architecture to feed the data warehouse.
• Provide technical leadership in implementing the BI front-end reporting solution. 
• Monitor system performance and optimize where needed.
• Lead a small team (1-3 FTE’s).
• Communicate product requirements to developers or DBAs and manage the implementation and development process.   

Desired Qualifications

• 7+ years of database design & implementation (Microsoft SQL Server preferred).
• 5+ years’ experience with Data Warehouses (OLAP cubes, star schemas, etc.).
• Experience with SQL Server Analysis and Reporting Services, or similar technologies.
• Experience with ETL design and implementation (SQL Server Integration, Replication preferred).
• Experience with BI front-end reporting tools.
• Some experience in leading a team of developers.
• Bachelor's degree in a technology related field.
• Excellent teamwork skills
