Position reports to Chief Technology Officer, and will work with all other team members on a project basis.

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities

 

•             Leverage existing technology stack (Python/Tornado/AWS) to oversee build, deployment, and monitoring processes. 

•             Develop highly scalable web properties, including: modifying server or client side code, analyzing and optimizing existing systems, working with other team members to assess appropriate workflows in this nascent industry.

•             Develop new iOS and Android Apps that connect users to existing and new workflows

•             Collaborate with graphic designers, the marketing team and others to create user experience through elegant UI/UX.

•             Provide analytics from internal databases and external APIs regarding customer engagement, marketing effectiveness and financial performance. 

•             Assist in miscellaneous projects, such as assisting customers with technology issues, testing new releases, and more.

 

Job Requirements

 

•             Authorized to work in the United States, and available to work on site at our West Loop offices in Chicago.  No visas or relocation packages are available at this time.

•             Deep knowledge of Python and at least one Python web framework (e.g. Tornado, Django or Flask)

•             Working knowledge of php

•             Strong command of SQL (mysql or MS SQL Server)

•             Ability to work effectively with web technologies such as HTML5, Javascript, Bootstrap and jQuery

•             Intermediate or better knowledge of git

•             The following are pluses:

•              Prior work with Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure
  
•              Experience with Object Relational Mapping technology
  
•              Knowledge of Bitcoin full-nodes (bitcoind / bitcoin-cli)             
  
•              Deep understanding of blockchain technology
  

•             At least two years relevant prior experience and/or appropriate BS degree.
