As the Director, Business Systems & Applications, you will lead and manage a team of kCura IT employees who transform, grow and operate our critical business applications.   kCura uses a mix of SaaS and on-premise applications to manage Lead to Cash, Ideation to Production and Recruiting to Talent management. The Director will, in partnership with the VP, IT and functional business leads, set the strategy for transforming and operating these systems and ensuring alignment to critical business processes.    The Director will ensure kCura has the people, processes and tools to deliver on this strategy.  

Responsibilities

  • Review and build Strategy for the Business Systems/Application employees, processes and technology
  • Manage the Business Systems/Application team, consisting of Administrators, Software Engineers and Business Analysts
  • Manage technology strategy and process strategy alignment in partnership with Marketing, Sales, Finance, Engineering and IT
  • Have awareness of and work collaboratively with Marketing, Sales, Support, Engineering, Finance and IT teams to help them automate their work
  • Develop new, or use existing processes to drive efficiencies across IT
  • Manage vendor relationships through architecture, procurement and operational lifecycles
  • In partnership with other IT Team members, review and recommended technology solutions
  • Build and drive a culture of continuous improvement and proactive support for other functions within kCura
  • Assess and in partnership with other IT team members, implement automation wherever possible
  • Provide excellent customer/colleague experiences for all kCura Employees
  • Ensures consistency of Service delivery
  • Manage employees and assist them with their priorities and career development

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 15 years management experience in a dynamic technology environment
  • Enthusiasm for technology, systems, and customer support
  • Strategic problem solving skills and experience
  • Excellent leadership and managerial skills and experience
  • Excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Salesforce, Workday, Atlassian, Microsoft, Intacct and other SaaS and enterprise technology
  • Technical experience as a Business Analyst, Software Developer, Architect or Data manager
  • Recent experience with BI/Analytics teams and strategy development
  • Have managed financial systems, including billing/invoicing, revenue management, procure-to-pay
  • Ability to build, lead and grow strong teams
  • Sense of urgency and ownership
  • Ability to delegate tasks and mentor reports
  • Dynamic management and leadership skills
  • Attention to detail

 

Supervision:

  • Direct responsibility for Application Administrators
  • Direct responsibility for Software Engineers
  • Direct responsibility for Business Analysts
  • Responsible for career development, performance management and mentoring for direct reports
  • Manage Business Systems strategy and day to day operations
  • From time to time, perform Project Management and manage non-direct resources within projects
  • Manage vendor relationships and procurement projects
