Director of Chime Retention & Liquidity
Meet Chime, a new service by your friends at Sittercity that lets you book amazing sitters on demand. We’re on a mission to change the way parents and sitters find and manage childcare. This is a unique opportunity to join Sittercity’s Chime team and disrupt the $50B occasional childcare market.
We are looking for a proven innovator and business ninja to lead our parent retention and marketplace liquidity team. These are the two core engines to the business with clear accountability to our strategic plan: accelerating parent reuse and ensuring adequate liquidity of sitters seeking jobs.
What You’ll Do
- Analyze parent behavior and research parent needs to develop product, marketing and operational strategies to improve engagement.This is not CRM tactics but developing and refining core value propositions.
- Track and monitor the effectiveness of retention initiatives using relevant tools and A/B testing.Set and deliver against tangible KPIs (parent reuse rates).
- Analyze demand and supply patterns and forecast short and long-term supply needs.
- Consult and support supply-side program features to ensure and bolster adequate supply liquidity.
- Lead cross-functional projects to implement team initiatives; collaborate and communicate with teams across the company to achieve project and team goals.
- Be the voice of parent re-use, ensuring the requisite attention given its outsized impact on our overall success.
What You’ll Need
- Unparalleled business judgment; ability to trade-off analysis for action; willingness to take strategic risks.
- Proven success identifying, analyzing, and solving complex business problems, preferably in marketplaces:
- Experience conducting quantitative consumer research, from the ground, up. (collect, analyze, interpret).
- Exposure and aptitude for statistical analysis, including logit regression models (parent utility models).
- Ability to lead a team to create algorithms to maximize parent-sitter matches collectively.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools, including SQL, R, SPSS, SAS, etc.
- Skilled at planning, organizing, prioritizing, and executing simultaneous projects and activities.You can prioritize high-impact activities and keep complicated projects moving forward.
- You’ve proven your ability to work well under pressure and adapt to change quickly.
- A clear thinker and communicator, both verbally and in writing (PowerPoint/Keynote).
- Bias towards action.
- 3-5 years in analytical roles with progressively more experience.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a quantitative field, including engineering, math, economics, CS, etc.
- Affinity towards childcare and strong understanding of the motivations of parents and sitters.
- MBA is strongly preferred.
