Swap.com is looking for a new Director of Digital Marketing, Retention to build our retention marketing programs and manage day to day campaigns to existing customers.

As the leader for our retention marketing efforts, you will lead a team of creative designers, copywriters, email strategists and campaign specialists to ensure our website and emails are continuously driving revenue through effective campaigns and product recommendations.  You will be responsible for monitoring daily traffic and conversion, partnering across the organization including merchandising and technology teams to ensure the customer experience is optimized with the right mix of products and site features.

In addition to day to day campaign execution, you will own the broader strategy for segmentation and personalization, creating world class 1:1 programs that help customers find exactly what they are looking for.  Working data scientists and the CMO, you will help build powerful algorithms that accelerate our growth, by redirecting resources from mass campaigns to increasingly automated, triggered campaigns with rich content.

What you’ll do:

  • Inspire your team to develop all customer touchpoints: site creative, out of the box email, site campaigns and outbound box inserts.
  • Ensure the team is working well together and efficiently across design and development to ensure campaigns are set up correctly and ahead of time, with solid processes for QA and approvals
  • Ensure brand voice is consistent across all work
  • Build outstanding lifecycle marketing tactics for Onboarding, Retention and Winback segments
  • Work with Customer Services to understand customer matters and for improving customer experience at all times
  • Track and communicate results to CEO/CMO and continuously hit revenue targets
  • AB testing, AB testing, and more AB testing!
  • Driving the Customer Lifetime Values higher and higher

Minimum Requirements

  • 7+ years of Digital Marketing experience focused around a CRM, Brand, merchandising or campaign planning role
  • Experience owning a P&L is a must
  • Deeply analytical mind with ability to proficiently use analytical tools, spreadsheets, and do your own modeling and charts to get quickly to the “so what” and make tactical changes
  • Clear, seasoned point of view about the challenges of marketing channel attribution (and what to do about it)
  • Experience building segmented and personalized marketing campaigns, especially with emails but also extending to the site
  • Best-in-class email marketer who can lead a diverse team to produce the best emails in the industry
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to articulate clearly and effectively over the phone, through email, and in writing
  • Understanding and skills in Customer Lifetime Value accounting
  • Organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities
  • Strong prioritization skills to manage time effectively
