Director of Finance

We enable our customers to better attribute, route, personalize, and manage their voice interactions at each part of the marketing and sales processes.
We are looking for a Director of Finance, who will report to the CFO, and direct the company’s financial planning and analysis function, which is charged with delivering insights to senior management and enabling data-driven decisions.
This position provides an opportunity for you to make an immediate impact on the business, providing financial leadership to DialogTech's executive team and outside stakeholders. Success in this role will require you to be a trusted advisor to key decision makers, and to develop persuasive, board-level reporting and analysis. You will need to be business savvy, intellectually curious, a strong communicator, and possess a desire to continually improve both the financial function and the overall business.
Your main responsibilities in this role will include:
- Leading company-wide financial planning processes (budgeting, planning, and long-range planning) - ensuring relevance, accuracy, and actionable insights are provided
- Developing and driving the company’s business performance management process to ensure key goals are met, including reporting and managing progress against the company’s KPIs and milestones
- Driving operational decision making for areas such as pricing and sales commissions
- Fostering a continuous improvement mentality toward the financial processes - identifying and implementing improvements to efficiency and analytical insight, including implementation of new systems and tools
- Improving upon standard reporting packages for executive management and the Board
- Providing analytical support to ad hoc decision-making (M&A, investment cases, new business models, etc.
The skills and experience you will need include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or other analytical discipline
- 8+ years of corporate finance experience of progressively increasing responsibility. Extensive prior experience managing FP&A responsibilities is essential
- MBA strongly preferred
- Strong business acumen and understanding of best practices across a wide range of business functions and processes is critical
- CPA is a plus but not required. Strong working knowledge of financial accounting concepts is critical
- Financial systems experience with ERP systems (in particular, NetSuite), planning/reporting systems (e.g. Essbase, Hyperion, Adaptive Insights), and CRM systems (Salesforce)
- Software company experience, preferably with a SaaS-based business model is strongly preferred
- Experience working in digital marketing industry is a plus
- Track record of past success in “getting things done” in the relatively unstructured environment of a growth-stage company
- Able to balance a strong detail orientation with a need to “see the forest from the trees”
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills - can effectively drive collaborative, cross-functional efforts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience delivering board-level reporting and analysis. Able to concisely communicate complex issues, with an actionable focus, to senior audiences
- Strong MS Excel and Powerpoint skills.
