Shiftgig is seeking a talented Director of Marketing to lead new customer acquisition and retention initiatives. This position oversees all marketing including acquisition, CRM, partnership marketing, monetization and branding.   The Director will manage acquisition of members and employers and will be in charge of acquisition strategy, funnel optimization, and tactical channel programs; the Director will be in charge of analysis, budgeting and forecasting for the team.  The individual will work closely Product and Engineering teams to build, manage and analyze results for the test pipeline.   The Director will manage a small team who run specific acquisition channels to include email, SEM, SEO, social media and offline programs.

We are in a great River North location.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic marketing plans to support prioritized initiatives across multiple platforms (mobile, social, web, email), resulting in increased customer acquisition
  • Establish new partnerships and promotional programs that reach sizeable external audiences to drive significant new users and website traffic
  • Ability to question the status quo and develop marketing initiatives that support overall strategic business goals
  • Collaborate with sales, product, business development, customer service, and analytics teams to develop marketing plans that support collective goals
  • Lead a team including acquisition marketing, digital marketing, social media, monetization, and CRM
  • Research, develop, and implement an online paid customer acquisition strategy to driver user awareness, direct traffic and acquisition (i.e. CAC, LTV)
  • Generate qualified traffic and acquire customers across online marketing channels to include SEM, email, social media networks, affiliate, retargeting, etc
  • Manage all aspects of budgeting and forecasting for acquisition channels; Build models, conduct in-depth analyses and provide insights into marketing metrics and performance.
  • Must be able to provide thought leadership to the executive team.
  • Ability to manage and drive scalable and repeatable processes

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years marketing experience at a high growth internet start-up
  • Ability to design and execute a marketing plan flawlessly
  • Extensive knowledge of web marketing, tracking and reporting
  • Strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills
  • Entrepreneurial and innovative thinker.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-moving, dynamic company culture and industry
  • Experience with a subscription model and background in online community products a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree with a technical back ground (MBA preferred)
  • Excellent teamwork skills
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • Incredible quantitative and data-obsessed

  • Focused with keen ability and drive to execute in a fast-paced, ever changing environment
