Director of Public Relations
Responsibilities
Enhance and update the PR strategy and priorities for both the company and the content generated on the site
Identify target outlets and maintain a database of contacts
Develop and maintain relationships with key media and industry influencers that cover the scope of interests for G2 Crowd across traditional and social media
Monitor media channels and recommend engagement opportunities to drive earned media
Identify opportunities for placed bylines, guest posts and thought leadership pieces in media and impact blogs
Write and distribute press releases (up to 4 per month)
Develop and support event communication pre, during and post event(s)
Work with other members of the G2 Crowd team to draft bylined articles and other written materials
Work with the Director of Marketing to enhance and align content marketing, PR and social media strategies
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, English, journalism, or business
5-7 years of experience in a PR role
Enterprise software/tech or publishing experience preferred
Demonstrated experience in B2B marketing and corporate communications
Excellent writing and communications skills
Proven list of contacts and placements in mainstream business, trade and local media a plus
