bswift, a leader in cloud-based technology and services for employer benefits and health exchanges, is currently seeking a Director of QA.
The Director of Quality Assurance is responsible for leading bswift's Quality Assurance team in the development and execution of automated and manual quality testing for bswift's benefits administration software.
Fundamental Components:
- Manage the QA team and inspire them to provide best in class service with continuous improvement
- Establish processes to ensure that new product enhancements are functioning as designed and meeting the needs of bswifts clients
- Collaborate with Product Management, Development and Support teams to foster a team based approach to high quality launches and drive appropriate changes in those organizations to ensure high quality deliverables
- Define and own the QA methodology with metrics-driven continuous improvement; analyze metrics and implement continuous process improvement
- Develop a product testing strategy covering long term and short term recommendations and actions
- Management and hands-on development and maintenance of test plans and test cases covering functional product, integration, performance, for automated and manual testing
- Manage test execution cycles to meet product and integration release schedules
- Develop a top-notch QA team through coaching and counselling employees; planning, monitoring and appraising results
Background and Experience desired:
- 8+ years of relevant experience in Quality Assurance and software development
- 3+ years experience in managing a Quality Assurance and/or Testing team
- Minimum of a Bachelors degree in business, engineering, computer science or marketing
- Advanced working knowledge of QA processes and methodologies; Expertise in test planning, test case management, code coverage and defect analysis
- Strong knowledge of software development life cycle and the importance of QA involvement throughout the entire cycle
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with internal and external partners
- Experience across various testing and quality assurance models and practices Experience testing business solutions delivered on SaaS models
