The Director of CRM and Email Marketing will be responsible for customer retention and loyalty strategy, email marketing, mobile push notification marketing strategy and implementation for Brad's Deals. This role reports to VP of Marketing. We will also look to him/her to work alongside our technical, creative, strategy and account teams to help develop and streamline our email and life-cycle marketing operation processes.

Job Description
  • Develop and implement email and mobile contact strategy and customer inbox management; Act as the business owner of promotional and triggered email calendar and roadmap
  • Plan email optimization A/B testing roadmap and lead the implementation from pre-test analysis, to test design, to execution, to statistical measurement and post-test analysis
  • Develops short- and long-range strategies and plans for the evolution of customer retention and email marketing; ensure email channel serves as a key traffic driver and communication vehicle
  • Optimize new subscriber on-boarding and activation program, develop customer engagement and retention program/campaigns and establish customer loyalty program to drive LTV while maintaining a positive ROI
  • Drive customer segmentation, subscriber health and customer analytics
  • Make recommendations to executive team of strategies, roadmaps, and operating plans for customer lifecycle marketing and email marketing
  • Partner with business teams to develop marketing plans that support business objectives; while protecting and growing the size and value of our customer email list while maintaining brand guidelines.
  • Accountable for orders, revenue and profit/loss driven by the email marketing channel, and overall customer lifetime value and pay-back period
  • Develop budget and forecasts for email channel and is accountable for delivering against business goals/objectives.
  • Works closely with Product, Business Intelligent and IT teams to develop and execute on roadmap of functional and technological CRM programs and email marketing capability enhancements, including technologies like personalization
  • Is analytically focused and uses data to continuously test, measure and optimize email performance. Use data to create and optimize for the ideal contact strategy and welcome email path.
  • Closely watch the competitive landscape and best practices and proactively react to market actions and customer needs by improving plans and operational activities
  • Create, implement, and optimize a mobile push notification marketing strategy
Education requirements:
  • Bachelor degree required, preferably Marketing, Statistics, or Business-related field; Master’s Degree or MBA preferred
Technical skills:
  • 8+ years of experience in online or e-commerce marketing with a focus in CRM and email marketing
  • Experience in developing highly targeted campaigns based on data and analytics; Deep understanding in personalization is a must
  • Experience in planning, implementing and measuring email optimization A/B testing and related statistics
  • Experience in email/mobile contact strategy, customer inbox management and implementation
  • Experienced in building customer lifecycle marketing programs
  • Working knowledge of email sending system (e.g. Responsys, ExactTarget) and email delivery platform (e.g. Return Path) required; Working knowledge of HTML is a plus
  • Data manipulation, working in MS Excel and/or Tableau reporting; working knowledge of statistics; SQL skills is a plus
  • Skilled in qualitative and quantitative analysis to identify issues, trends, or exceptions and make recommendations to drive strategic and tactical improvements
  • At least 3 years of experience in planning, developing, and managing departmental expense and capital budgets
  • Experience in launching and optimizing mobile push notification campaigns is preferred

  • Comfortable with fast-paced working environment; and work under pressure with tight deadlines
  • Excellent written, verbal, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Strong relationship management skills -  with individuals at all levels and in all departments of the organization
  • Proactive, highly-organized self-starter with strong project management skills
  • Provide quality assurance on creative deliverables; strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
