  • Position Details:

    The Documentation Writer II is part of a documentation team responsible for producing documentation in multiple formats.  Writers need to be able to work closely with architects, developers, testers and other writers to deliver content to a specified timescale in a SAFe/Agile environment.   Documentation writers take complex, technical information and communicate it in a concise and accurate manner. We look for talented writers who are passionate about writing, quick to learn, and eager to participate on the documentation and development teams.

    Description:

    • Create, update, and maintain multiple documentation deliverables using MadCap Flare
    • Create and assimilate technical material for both technical and non-technical audiences
    • Develop and edit content according to established standards and procedures
    • Clearly communicate with all project members and stakeholders
    • Prepare source files for edit, SME review, and publication according to department procedures
    • Contribute to ongoing documentation improvement projects
    • Perform restructuring and rewriting of documents
    • Work in a fast-paced environment to meet tight deadlines
    • Participate in SAFe/Agile/Lean development teams
    • Take initiative and show ownership of work
    • Show interest in new documentation methods, best practices, and tools

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelors in English, Communications, or similar field is preferred
    • 2-4 years work experience as a technical writer
    • Strong people skills and ability to work in a team
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Ability to pay attention to detail
    • Must be able to manage multiple tasks and projects and priorities as required
    • Can take initiative and follow through on projects and tasks
    • Ability to act with urgency and make decisions under pressure
    • Ability to think on a high level and consider broad impacts
    • Strong analytical and logical skills
