ShopRunner has a rich file of members who shop across hundreds of online retailers in over 10 top level categories. E-mail is one of the most important touch points we have with our members. We are seeking a creative and quantitative email marketing leader to deliver a best-in-class customer e-mail experience. They should be able to optimize and grow our e-mail program starting from basics such as deliverability through to using rich triggers and advanced targeting. Bonus points if you have more e-mail subscriptions than you can count and are addicted to shopping through them!
ABOUT WHAT YOU’LL DO
● Implement email best practices to maximize inbox deliverability and maintain an appropriate cadence for our customers
● Operationalize our e-mail program by building a repeatable process for high
quality execution
● Work with retailers, merchandising and design to manage and segment a robust promotional calendar and customer file along 140+ retailers and 10 categories
● Optimize promotional campaigns through rigorous A/B testing of creative,
content, cadence, offers and targeting
● Aggregate and analyze campaign performance and provide actionable insights
● Define triggered email campaigns that advance customers along their lifecycle
and promote engagement and retention
● Lead the search for the right email service provider to handle our evolving needs
● Present plans and progress to senior management
ABOUT WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
● Proven track record of delivering complex e-mail programs from inception to
delivery at consumer scale (1MM+ list sizes)
● Strong analytical skills: Familiarity with multivariate testing and able to analyze campaign performance to evolve e-mail strategies
● Comprehensive understanding of email best practices such as subject lines,
messaging, dynamic emails, customer segmentation, HTML/CSS, responsive
design and deliverability
● Execution experience including building, tagging, targeting and QA with hands on knowledge of ESPs
● Experience working with product teams, analysts, designers and developers to
define and codify triggered campaigns
● Impeccable attention to detail, deadlines and accuracy with minimum supervision
● Entrepreneurial mindset and bias toward action
● 5+ years of email marketing and/or CRM experience
