The Engineering Manager plays a vital role by having complete responsibility over the product development team that is building solutions that make it faster and easier for individuals and families to enroll in a health insurance plan. Customers, insurance agents, and carriers rely on our technology, to capture and deliver insurance and payment information so customers can get the right health insurance they need. The Engineering Manager will be helping shape the future of these products by taking the complexity out of the health insurance application process to provide health insurance to people who need it most.

In addition to working with health insurance carriers, healthcare.gov, and agents, you will also work with an ambitious and extremely talented team of project managers, business analysts, architects, software engineers, and quality assurance analysts. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with external business stakeholders to ensure business problems and product vision are clearly defined and articulated.
- Work closely with engineering, product management, and business stakeholders in the definition and creation of product features.
- Serve as voice of the customer to scrum team to clarify backlog questions.
- Effectively manage trade-offs between business benefits and cost/schedule.
- Work across the entire product life cycle from strategic planning to day-to-day product development activities to product release.
- Manage and prioritize product backlog including defects and feature requests.
- Because you will own responsibility for the execution of the strategy for the Enrollments product line, your success will be visible to executive management and the Board of Directors.
- Minimum ten years IT experience in a dynamic, fast-paced technical environment
- Product development experience in an Agile environment
- Experience building and managing a technical team, resolving impediments that block the team from its full potential
- Ability to apply an analytical mindset to make correlations, and judgement calls, from data
- Experience working in SaaS model strongly desired
