The Annex is a new division of Havas Worldwide Chicago that will be focused on marketing to Millennials with an innovative and non-traditional "un-agency" approach. We are currently seeking a forward-thinking UX star to fill the role of Experience Architect. We seek a passionate and experienced User Experience Strategist to join our User Experience Team. UX Strategists help to create and implement customer-focused, innovative digital products for our clients.

Reporting directly to the UX Director you will create project deliverables that clearly and persuasively communicate your UX strategy.

You will play an active role in research efforts to understand user needs by creating documentation such as heuristics and competitive analysis. With customers through focus groups, usage analysis, and rapid prototyping. This is not a visual creative design role.

You’ve designed for platforms ranging from desktop to mobile (iOS and Android) and have a good understanding of responsive design. Work directly with product managers, business, creative and development teams to assist in the definition of product requirements. 

Typical deliverables include hand drawn sketches, IA, sitemaps, user flows, wireframes, annotated wireframes and documentation, prototypes, best practice and POV documents. You must know how to defend your rationale to internal and external teams.

You are naturally collaborative and personable. Proactive with team communication and an excellent work ethic and ability to meet deadlines.

You are relentlessly inquisitive regarding trends, tools and emerging technologies.

What are we looking for?

  • 3-5 years in creating user-centered designs for digital products
  • Experience with Sketch, Adobe CC, Axure or similar diagramming tool
  • Clear understanding of web prototyping such as Invision, Axure, Origami, Principle
  • High level knowledge of user centered design principles
  • Understanding of current trends in the digital space, including responsive design and rapid iterative prototyping
  • Proficient in web and mobile standards
  • Understanding of the digital development process
  • UX research experience with user testing & moderating
  • Clear understanding of the capabilities and limitations of front-end technologies
  • Accessibility knowledge
  • Strong collaboration and consulting skills with various departments and different levels of management
  • Ability to communication at a high level with all level of the organization as well as clients
  • Strong problem solving and analytical thinking skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Practical experience working in a Lean/Scrum/Agile environment desired
  • Interpretation and review of analytics data to inform understanding of customer behavior and the site experience.
  • Creation of user requirement specifications, including user scenarios, task analysis, flowcharts and organization and navigation models, detailed wireframes and other tools to effectively communicate the user experience and user interface/interaction elements.
  • Convergence of research findings, skillfully merging new ideas, creative innovation, and best practices to generate unique, strategic solutions.
  • Previous regulatory experience preferred, but not required
