BookedOut is looking for a Front End Software Engineer to join its growing development team. You should be skilled in the latest web technologies including HTML5, CSS3 and modern, modular, testable, and idiomatic JavaScript. You’re pragmatic in your approach to problem solving. You’re also highly proficient at writing clean, semantic markup.

The right candidate is a software engineer with a proven track record of success, who will be comfortable in a small company atmosphere and ready to take on any engineering task needed as part of a small, dedicated technical team. You should cherish experimentation and exploration with new technologies, while at the same time keeping your mind on the task currently at hand. This role will enable you to have a significant influence over the structure and direction of new projects. You will be working with cutting edge technologies, and will have significant runway to grow your skills technically and professionally.

What we’re looking for?

 Skills and Qualifications:

• Demonstrated success creating high performing front-end applications integrating with server-side services.
• Strong knowledge and experience with JavaScript, cross-browser compatibility, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Experience using client-side MV* frameworks (AngularJS, Ember, Backbone, KnockoutJS)
• Build efficient and reusable front-end abstractions and applications.
• Development experience designing unobtrusive and object-oriented JavaScript.
• Experience testing front end, including JavaScript.
• Experience with a CSS preprocessor such as LESS or SASS.
• Enjoy developing robust, scalable, and elegant solutions to engineering problems.
• A strong ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Experience working in an Agile environment, particularly with Scrum and/or Kanban.
• The self-motivation to delivery awesome work focused on technology and our customers.
• Most importantly, have great ideas, a collaborative attitude, and a focus on shipping.

Additional Skills desired:

• Experience with Grunt or other JS workflow tools
• Experience with single page web apps
• Understand and implement responsive design patterns
• Integrating with RESTful API services
• Microsoft Azure experience a huge plus
• Build and deployment scripting experience is a plus
• Able to lead a team and present a clear direction
• Ability and willingness to mentor other developers as our engineering team grows
• Ability to communicate effectively to executives
