Position Responsibilities

• Contribute best-in-class programming skills to develop highly innovative, consumer-facing, and enterprise website solutions
• Interface with Vokal and third-party APIs to bring a web application to life from the ground up, leveraging HTML, CSS and JavaScript equally throughout
• Support and collaborate with clients, other developers, and designers to determine business and technical solutions
• Continually deliver creative solutions with awesome execution

Required Experience

• 3+ years of professional website frontend development experience
• Proven understanding of and experience with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript

Required Technical Skills

• Active understanding of semantic HTML5, the DOM, and document outlines
• Able to build website layouts to match given designs without the aid of Bootstrap or other frameworks
• Fluent in JavaScript and preferably jQuery
• Production experience with AngularJS or another JS MVC framework
• Responsive design techniques using CSS media queries and flexible layouts
• Interacting with JSON APIs and an understanding of HTTP status codes
• Website performance profiling and debugging from a stack trace
• Automated testing with Jasmine or similar technologies

Preferred Skills

• Image manipulation, slicing, and sprite-mapping for multiple PPIs
• Agile development methodologies
• Development with node
• Grunt workflows
• JavaScript frameworks like backbone, ember and knockout
• Producing webview content for Android or iOS developers
• Continuous Integration experience
• Git
• User experience design and information architecture
• Other language and platform experience, Python, Go, .NET, etc.
• Active community member, blogger or presenter
