Rise is looking to hire a graphic design intern who is detail-oriented, highly motivated, and a tenacious individual who is excited about joining a fast growing company with an expanding Fortune 500 client base.

 

To be considered for the graphic design internship you must:

  • Be currently enrolled in an accredited degree-granting program. Recent graduates will NOT be considered.
  • Provide a link to a digital portfolio documenting your work
  • Must be able to dedicate at least 20 hours per week for 10 weeks

Please note: we can work with your schedule to bring you a dynamic and engaging internship experience.  Start date is planned for July 1st, 2016, but there is flexibility available.

 

Summary and Scope:

The graphic design intern will join the corporate marketing team and will be responsible for various design projects to support the Rise Interactive brand. The graphic design intern will have a strong academic background, ability to follow up and communicate project status in an organized and timely fashion, and adhere to professional graphic and website standards per project requirements. The graphic design intern displays a service-oriented, positive attitude for internal stakeholders and colleagues, coupled with an appreciation of business realities.

Responsibilities:
  • Work with your assigned team to assist in the execution of internal communications, including, but not limited to, monthly employee and client newsletters, sales collateral, infographics, PowerPoint presentations, web design, event branding, etc.
  • Possess a strong conceptual skill and a high level sense of design—a broad thinker with the ability to offer a variety of creative solutions.
  • Properly prepare files to be sent to print
  • Demonstrate strong skill in creative strategic thinking and execution with a superior typographic sensibility
  • Use of Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator will be expected on a daily basis. Video experience a plus
  • Serve as a “brand champion” to ensure proper use of agency brand guidelines and templates
  • Work with team members and other relevant managers on a weekly basis to report the status of each project and deliverable
Required Skills:
  • Documented use and projects via Adobe Creative Suite
  • Strategic and creative thinking – always focusing on innovative, but measurable solutions
  • Extremely ambitious and hard working
  • Self-motivated
  • Deeply familiar and passionate about the World Wide Web and online marketing
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Able to work with minimal supervision while maintaining focus and productivity, and display constant ability to receive critical feedback for learning and growth
  • Flexible. Able to quickly adapt to new situations
