Rise Interactive (http://www.riseinteractive.com), a rapidly growing full service interactive advertising agency, is looking to hire a Interaction Designer into the Innovation team. We are seeking a detail-oriented, creative and highly motivated individual contributor that is excited about joining a new Innovation department and contributing professionally to an entrepreneurial company with an expanding Fortune 500 client base.
Summary and ScopeDesign isn’t just how something looks but how it works. We’re looking for designers who will see projects end to end, leverage data to make decisions and are passionate about solving real problems for real people. You will be expected to be a self starter and an author of creative solutions with an ability to collaborate and humanize complicated ideas through design.

- Promote comprehensive user experience, interaction design, information architecture and interface design for Rise’s Analytics Products and Platforms
- Develop new ways for non-technical users to interpret data through visualization and analysis.
- Create user flows, annotated wireframes and clickable prototypes which enable developers to build software that embraces the best user experience
- Develop user experience research and usability studies
- Contribute to evolving market-driven, user-centric products and product marketing efforts to ensure clear understanding of the value proposition
- Collaborate with product managers, scrum masters, project managers, engineers, and designers throughout the product lifecycle
- Stay abreast of new and innovative trends in the information architecture discipline
- 2-3 years experience designing for web with at least 1 year in a UX / Interaction design role.
- Well steeped in market-driven, product management principles
- Great communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Passion for continuous learning in usability principles and techniques
- Skilled at rapid prototyping in Adobe Creative Suite, on cocktail napkins and whiteboards
- Strong collaborator
- Bachelor’s degree in art, design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience.
- A strong portfolio of shipping successful software products with distinctive user experiences
- Experience with responsive design across multiple device types and contexts
- Major bonus points for knowing front-end development technologies and solid understanding of optimal ways of developing and testing HTML, CSS
